Renji stood in the center of the training ground with several targets set up at different lengths away from himself intending to increase the number of times Zabimaru can strike while in its extended Shikai form. Renji draws out Zabimaru and roars, "Howl! Zabimaru!" After the transformation into the seven sectional blade Renji begins to counts the slashes of the extension in his head, "One...Two...Three..." disappointed with the lack of increase Renji releases the Shikai and sheaths his sword
